Council to consider adding member to Park and Rec Commission
NEW ULM – The New Ulm City Council will meet at 5 p.m. today in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
The Council will consider instructing the City Attorney to amend the Park and Recreation Commission to have nine seats instead of the current eight. The move will make the Council non-voting liaison to the Commission into a voting member with full rights. The move is partially intended to eliminate the possibility of a stalemate vote when all members are present. The new position will be filled by Councilor Ken RockVam, who was appointed earlier for the non-voting Council representation position.
The Council will also announce the results of the 2012 Special Archery Hunt Deer Control program.
