NEW ULM – Eva Schiefert, 93, of New Ulm, and formerly of Gibbon, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 16, at the St. Willibrord’s Catholic Church in Gibbon with Father Jeff Horesji celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 9:30 11 a.m., Wednesday at the St. Willibrord’s Catholic Church in Gibbon.
The Minnesota Valley Funeral home in Gibbon is handling the arrangements.

Eva is survived by her daughter, Barbara Reinarts of New Ulm; grandchildren, Jorja and Scott Bleess of Lafayette, Scott and Mary Nachreiner of Canyon City, Colorado; great-grandchildren, Kali, Tyler, Dawson, Danielle, Jeffery and Tyler.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ben Schiefert; a son in infancy; sisters, Agnes Rubischko, Loretta Berle, Verona Rathmann; and by her brothers, Harold and Paul Weber.
Eva Frances Weber was born December 18, 1919 in Gibbon to Peter and Anne (Klement) Weber. She was united in marriage to Bernard “Ben” Schiefert on September 27, 1939 at the St. Willibrord’s Catholic Church in Gibbon, After marriage they farmed in rural Gibbon until they retired and moved to Gibbon. After her husband’s death, Eva moved to New Ulm in 2006. She enjoyed playing cards and ballroom dancing.
Eva was a member of St. Willibrord’s Catholic Church, National Catholic Society of Foresters and Catholic United.
