PUC will consider appointment for Nehls water tower commission
NEW ULM – The New Ulm Public Utilities will meet today at 5 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
The PUC will consider selecting one of its member to serve on the Nehls Park Elevated Storage Tank Aesthetics Committee. The Committee will consist of four members from each associated local committee: the PUC, the City Council, the Park and Recreation Commission and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
The Committee will be responsible for selecting the design aspects of the new water tower, which is being built to replace the failing Hermann Heights water tower and to supply improved water needs for the New Ulm hilltop area. The meetings for the new committee will be set after the representatives from each organization are selected.
The PUC will also officially appoint its members and select members to serve on City boards and commissions, including the Energy Awareness Committee, Personnel Committee and the Long Term Power Committee.
In addition, the PUC will consider declaring several pieces of electronic equipment for the PUC’s subordinate departments surplus property.
Finally, the PUC will consider the annual approval of the Net Energy Billing Service rates for 2013.
