PUC picks rep for Nehls Park Aesthetic committee
NEW ULM – The New Ulm Public Utilities Commission picked Daniel Beranek to be its representative on the Nehls Park Elevated Storage Tank Aesthetics Committee during a Tuesday meeting at City Hall.
The Committee will consist of a representative from the PUC, the City Council, the Park and Recreation Commission and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. It will be responsible for picking out the color of the water tower to minimize its appearance. It will also determine whether a city logo will be on the tower and park topography.
The Nehls Park water tower will be replacing the failing Hermann Heights water tower.
