Sleepy Eye Medical Center open to visitors
SLEEPY EYE The Sleepy Eye Medical Center (SEMC) announces that it is now open to visitors.
“The influenza outbreak has diminished to the point where we feel it is safe to allow visitors in the hospital; however, if you have flu-like symptoms or signs of another illness we ask that out of consideration for our patients and staff you do not visit patients in the hospital,” said Kevin Sellheim, CEO and administrator. “In spite of the slower growth of the influenza outbreak, new cases are diagnosed every day. Flu viruses are considered to be spread primarily by droplets and restricting contact with possible sources of the virus is one of the best ways to halt the spread of influenza.”
The clinic remained open to patients and their families during the recent restrictions and continues to operate as usual.
