Diane Goering Pullman
SIOUX FALLS – Diane Goering Pullman, age 44, passed away from cancer on Friday, February 8, 2013 at her home in Sioux Falls, SD.
There will be a visitation on Monday, Feb. 11 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Miller West Funeral Home, 6200 West 41st St. in Sioux Falls.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, Feb.12 at 11:00 at Sunnycrest United Methodist Church, 4801 West 41st St. with Pastor Dean Trapp officiating.
Burial will be at New Ulm City Cemetery Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 2:00.
A visitation with the family will be Thursday, Feb. 14 from 4:30-7:00 pm at First United Methodist Church in New Ulm.
Diane Ruth Goering was born August 7, 1968 to Verlin and Shirley (Langstraat) Goering of rural New Ulm. She was raised on the family farm west of town. She was baptized and confirmed at First UMC. She was in band, choir and gymnastics in school. She was a member of the Milford 4-H Club for 11 years and played softball for 22 years. She graduated from New Ulm High School in 1986. She graduated from Albert Lea Vocational Technical Institute, and worked at MVTL in New Ulm where she met Wade Pullman. They were married in New Ulm on March 21, 1992 and later moved to Las Vegas, NV. There Diane earned a BS degree in Chemistry at UNLV. They relocated to the Denver area where Diane worked in several chemical testing labs. Wade died in 2001, the result of a car accident. Diane had been living in Sioux Falls since 2006, and was employed as the Chemistry Laboratory Instructor at Augustana College.
Diane was known for her cheery smile, love of baking, flower gardening, love of sweets and loyal friendship. She had a passion for traveling and has been to 32 states and 10 foreign countries.
Grateful for having shared her life are her mother, Shirley Goering of New Ulm, sisters Valerie Goering of Sioux Falls, Nancy and husband Bruce and their son Thomas Schmiesing of Apple Valley, MN, Grandfather Herman Langstraat of Sheldon, IA, In-laws Bill and Foresta Pullman of Onida, SD, Feleica Kramer, Bret Pullman, Bart Pullman, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wade, father Verlin Goering, grandparents Daniel and Kitsey Goering, Grace Langstraat, and step-grandmother Winifred Langstraat, uncles Harold and Gene Goering and Robert Langstraat.
