Fire victim died of natural causes

OLIVIA – The man who died in an apartment house fire in Olivia on Feb. 7, succumbed to natural causes, according to information from the Olivia Police Department.

The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office in Anoka identified the victim as Billy Eugene Camper, age 64, of Olivia. The probable cause of death has been determined to be of natural causes. A full autopsy report is pending final results of toxicology tests.

Investigation of the fire scene at the apartment building has determined that the blaze was accidental and that foul play is not suspected.

Cleaning of the apartment building continues. The displaced residents will begin moving back into their apartments over the next few days.
