Eagle gymnasts just miss state meet
WATERTOWN – The New Ulm gymnastics team competed in the Section 2AA meet Friday and finished with a team score of 133.975 to finish fourth out of 11 teams.
New Prague won the meet with a team score of 148.675 and will advance to state.
New Ulm’s Michaela Otterstatter scored a 9.0 on vault, an 8.125 on bars, a 7.875 on beam and 8.55 on floor. Otterstatter finished with an all-around score of 33.55.
Kim Berg had a 7.775 on bars with a fall on her dismount. Emily Gulden had an 8.625 on beam and 8.475 on floor.
Allison Rosenhammer scored an 8.825 on vault and Molly Klimek finished with an 8.7 on vault.
The event concluded a successful year for New Ulm. The Eagles finished the season 8-1 in dual meets and won the South Central Conference title this year.
