Gloria Victoria Peterson
Gloria Victoria Peterson, age 85, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, formerly of New Ulm, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013, at Hutchinson Health in Hutchinson.
A Memorial Service will be Saturday, March 2, at 1 p.m. at the Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson, with a spring interment in Swedlanda Lutheran Cemetery in Palmyra Township, Renville County, Minnesota.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
Gloria Victoria Peterson was born on October 23, 1927, in Wellington Township, Fairfax, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Harry and Ella (Dahms) Lehman. Gloria was baptized as an infant on November 6, 1927, at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Wellington Township, and she was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on Palm Sunday, April 6, 1941, at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm, Minnesota. She attended country school in Wellington Township, Renville County, Minnesota.
On September 10, 1954, Gloria was united in marriage to Reuben Peterson at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon, Minnesota. Gloria and Reuben resided and farmed in Wellington Township, rural Fairfax, Minnesota. They later moved to New Ulm, Minnesota, in 1979. They shared 40 years of marriage, until Reuben passed away on November 3, 1994. Gloria moved to Hutchinson, Minnesota in 1996.
Gloria was a loving wife, homemaker and partner in the farming operation. She was also employed at ADC Telecommunications, Inc. in Fairfax for several years. Gloria was a former member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in New Ulm, Minnesota.
Gloria enjoyed knitting, crocheting, hardanger embroidery and all types of handwork. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Gloria is survived by her sister, Margie Kirchhoff and her husband Edwin of Hutchinson, MN; nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ella Lehman; husband, Reuben Peterson; brother, Roland Lehman and his wife, Lorraine.
