Support staff contract on District 88 agenda
NEW ULM – The District 88 Board of Education will consider approval of a new contract for support staff for 2011-13 and a calendar for next year.
Two proposed calendar options each include 170 student days, 12 workshop days and three comp days for evening conferences.
The board will also consider adoption of a revised budget for this year, to reflect new information about student enrollment, the conclusion of contract negotiations with employee groups, unforeseen maintenance issues and additional staff hired.
The board will also consider canceling its March 28 meeting, because March 25, 26 and 27 are dedicated to superintendent candidate interviews. The meeting may be re-scheduled.
During the non-action part of the meeting, the board will consider an early retirement incentive and long-range facility decisions.
The board meets at 7 p.m. today at the District Administrative Center.
