Three to be inducted into bowling HOF
NEW ULM – Three bowlers with a combined 130 years of experience in the game will be inducted into the New Ulm Bowling Hall of Fame on Friday evening, Mar. 22 at the New Ulm Country Club.
The 2013 inductee for the Women’s Bowling Association is Sandy Reinke. The Men’s Bowling Association is bestowing this year’s Hall of Fame honor to Ralph Bode and Tim Reinke.

Sandy Reinke has been involved in bowling for 40 years. Throughout her career she attained a career high average of 171 with high game of 265 and high series of 605.
She was a member of the Mankato State University Women’s Bowling team from 1980-83 and then bowled with the Mankato Bowling Association from 1983-96.
She has since been an active member of the New Ulm Bowling Association where she’s served on the Board of Directors for 13 years and is the current President of the New Ulm Area USBC Association. She was awarded the Joel and Rheeta Albrecht Bowling Enthusiasm Award in 2000.
Ralph Bode has bowled for more than 50 years. He has held a high average of 185, a 267 high game score and a high series of 669. He was a member of the New Ulm city championship team in 1976.
During Bode’s career, he has participated in the Courtland Junior, Farmers, Gutter Dusters (30 years), Klossner, Sioux, Straightaway, Downtown and Summer Scotch leagues.
He has served as league office, team captain, bowling council delegate and has participated in multiple state and city tournaments as well as the national tournament. Bode has recruited several new bowlers throughout his bowling career.
Tim Reinke has bowled for 40 years. He’s had a high game of 290, high series of 790 and held a career high average of 206.
He was a member of the Mankato State University Men’s Bowling team from 1978-82. He has been a member of the Mankato Bowling Association since 1982 and the New Ulm Bowling Association since 1996.
He serves as a director of the New Ulm Area USBC Association and is the current President of the All Star league. He is a youth bowling representative and served as assistant coach of the New Ulm High School bowling team.
He is also the treasurer and presenter for the Carl and Elsa Witt High School Scholarship award.
