NEW ULM – Marvin Vollrath, 78, of New Ulm and formerly of New Germany, died Friday at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm where he became a resident in July of 2007.
Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, SOUTH CHAPEL, in New Ulm. Visitation will be 4 7 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, SOUTH CHAPEL, in New Ulm. Burial will be in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Hollywood Township, Carver County.
Marvin is survived by children, Elizabeth Vollrath, Paula Abraham, and Marvin Vollrath, Jr.; step children, Mike Radke, Tom Radke, Teresa Gregory, Amy Radke, and Michelle Deuhs, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and by brothers, Rueben, Howard, Edward, and Norman.
Marvin was born May 5, 1934 in New Germany to Adolph and Johanna (Speigner) Vollrath. He was a Korean War Veteran serving with the Marine Corps from 1954 1956.
