WACONIA – Marvin Steinar Rodvik, 85, of Waconia, formerly of Franklin, died Friday, April 5, 2013, at the Auburn Home in Waconia.
A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 13 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 110 2nd Avenue East, Franklin. Burial is at 4:30 p.m., at Oak Hill Memorial Park in New London.
Visitation will be 4-7:30 p.m., Friday, April 12 at the church, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. During Friday’s visitation, a musical tribute in honor of Marvin will begin at 7 p.m.
Marvin was born Nov. 7, 1927, in Jamestown, N.D., to Reverend Johan H.O. and Anna Rodvik. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Janice; son, Karsten Rodvik of Anchorage, Alaska and John of Maple Grove; daughters, Martha Clinehens of Walla Walla, Wash., Miriam Billings of Spearfish, S.D., and Ann Spurbeck of Waconia; 11 grandchildren, and a sister, Jofrid Miller.
The family is being assisted by Cremation Society of Minnesota.
