Planning panel approves 10 business condos
NEW ULM – The Brown County Planning Commission approved four Conditional Use Permit (CUP) applications Tuesday.
The permits included one from Terry and Joann Petersen allowing construction of up to 10 business condominiums to be used as storage or individual units in a Limited Industrial Zoning District of Cottonwood Township.
Petersen said he would like to pre-sell the buildings to be constructed just west of State Highway 15 and just north of County Road 25, across the road from New Ulm Truck Drop, LLC. The property would be owned by a condominium association that would be responsible for property taxes, mowing and snow removal. Condo buildings would be owned by clients.
The commission also approved:
Renewing Darlene Wolf’s existing CUP to allow up to 15 dogs at any one time in an existing dog kennel business in a General Business Zoning District in Cottonwood Township.
Renewing an existing CUP application by Kurt Kratz to continue allowing up to 780 Animal Units (2,600 head) of hogs in a wean-to-finish operation and up to 50 AU (50 head) of beef steers for a combined total of 830 AU in the A-1 Agricultural Protection Zoning District, Burnstown Township.
Renewing an existing CUP application by Scott Helget to continue to allow up to 900 AU (3,000 head) of hogs in a wean-to-finish operation in the A-1 Agricultural Protection Zoning District, Burnstown Township.
The permits are subject to final approval by the Brown County Board.
