Vivian Schnobrich

NEW ULM – Vivian Schnobrich, 87 of New Braunfels, Texas, formerly of New Ulm, passed away peacefully on Febr. 14, 2013 at her home.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 13 in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery with Monsignor John A. Richter officiating. The Christian Mothers will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. Friday at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm.

Vivian is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Linda and James Ohrt of Sebring, Fla., Doreen Schaeffer of New Braunfels, Texas; grandchildren, Brian (Christine) Ohrt of Winter Haven, Fla., Brad (Ashley) Ohrt of DeKalb, Ill., Michael (Tiffany) Schaeffer of New Braunfels, Texas, Stephanie Schaeffer (Lorenzo) Hayden of New Braunfels, Texas; great-grandchildren, Kyle Ohrt and Carson Ohrt, Lyncoln and Paislea Schaeffer, Kaitlyn and Makenzi Hayden; sister, LaVonne Kral of Forest Lake; brother, LaVerne (Buddy) Oxendale of Blaine.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willard; brother, Myron; and sister, Betty Mae Kuehn.

Vivian Lucille Oxendale was born April 13, 1925 in Gibbon to William and Minnie Oxendale. She attended Sibley County School District 72. On June 11,1945 Vivian was united in marriage to Willard Schnobrich at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. Vivian worked at Wilfahrt Brothers/ACE Hardware for over 25 years where she managed the toy department. Vivian enjoyed gardening, collecting cook books, playing cards, baking and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and being a part of their lives. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, Christian Mothers, and St. Anne’s Court in New Ulm and a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Braunfels, Texas. Vivian was under the care of Hope Hospice when she passed away.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Way of the Cross, Cathedral Parish or NUACS.
