CLEMENTS – Vilo Dahmes, 81, of Clements, died Monday, April 8, 2013, at his home of mesothelioma.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, at First United Methodist Church in Redwood Falls with burial to follow in New Avon Salem Cemetery, rural Wabasso.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Friday, April 12, at Nelson-Martin Funeral Home in Redwood Falls and will continue on Saturday at the church for one hour prior to services.
Vilo M. Dahmes was born Feb. 21, 1932, to Otto and Hilda Martha (Steinhaus) Dahmes on the family farm near Clements.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; children, Vicky Dahmes of Clements, Bradley of Hawick, Scott of Springfield, and Forrest of Hawick; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; siblings, Virgil Dahmes of Farmington, Phyllis Posz of Sanborn, Darlene Hoffbeck of Redwood Falls, Verlin Dahmes Alexandria, and Arvin Dahmes of Morgan.
