Arce a contestant in National American Miss
LAFAYETTE – Melissa Arce, 14, daughter of Mark and Bobbie Schuelke of Lafayette, is a state finalist in the National American Miss Minnesota Pageant being held June 1-2 at the Doubletree Hotel in Bloomington.
The National American Miss pageants are held for girls aged 4-18, and has five different age divisions. Arce will be competing in the Junior?Miss age division with other girls from the state.
The winner of the pageant will receive a $1,000 cash award, the official crown and banner, a bouquet of roses, and air transportation to compete in the National Pageant in California.
Arce’s activities inlcude playing softball, soccer and swimming. She also enjoys hanging out with friends and family, and singing in school and church choir, and going to California.
Her sponsors include NJK Construction, Community Insurance of Lafayette, Kamm Farms, and Dave’s Place of Lafayette.
