Fort Ridgely Golf Course opens for season
FORT RIDGELY STATE PARK – The Fort Ridgely State Park Golf Course is now open for the season, according to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
The new, 2,739-yard, par-35, walk-only golf course design has long fairways heavily lined with trees, rolling hills and large greens, according to Arlyn Boddy, course manager.
No tee time reservations are needed. Weekday rates are $9 for nine holes, $14 for all-day, unlimited play. Weekend and holiday rates are $13 for nine holes and $18 for all day. Pull carts and golf clubs are available to rent.
The park is located six miles south of Fairfax or 12 miles north of Sleepy Eye, off Highway 4. Minnesota State Park permits ($5 a day/$25 year round) are required to enter the park.
