ST. PETER – New Ulm defeated St. Peter in five innings in a South Central Conference baseball game on Tuesday.
New Ulm was led at the plate Judd Davis, who recorded three hits, including a double and a triple, and had four RBI. Chase Meyer had two hits, including a double and two RBI, and Blake Neumann had two hits and two RBI..
Tanner Kluis pitched all five innings for the win, striking out four batters.
New Ulm (4-0, 7-1) will next play at conference foe Fairmont on Thursday.
Mankato Loyola 5
NICOLLET – Jay Hendricks’ performance on the mound and at the plate was the difference for Nicollet as the Raiders defeated Mankato Loyola in Valley Conference baseball action on Tuesday.
Hendricks pitched 6 2/3 innings, striking out four batter and only allowing one earned run on the day. He also went 3-for-3 at the plate.
Nicollet (2-1) will play host to conference opponent Maple River on Thursday.
Sleepy Eye 0
SLEEPY EYE – Springfield’s Isaac Kirschstein won a pitcher’s duel on Tuesday pitching seven innings, striking out 10 batters and only allowing five hits in the shutout win for Springfield in Tuesday’s Tomahawk conference baseball game.
Cole Milbrath led the Tigers from the plate with two hits, including a double and having one RBI in the game.
Sleepy Eye’s John Mangen got the loss on the mound for the Indians pitching seven innings, striking out nine batters and only allowing three hits on the night.
Springfield will host Cathedral in a doubleheader on Thursday. Sleepy Eye will play host to Wabasso on Thursday.
St. Mary’s 12,
Wabasso 2 (6 inn.)
MILROY – Sleepy St. Mary’s crushed Wabasso 12-2 in a Tomahawk Conference baseball game on Tuesday.
Jordan Anderson picked up the win on the mound. Anderson pitched all six innings and allowed two runs on five hits, three walks, and eight strikeouts.
Brandon Helget was 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and a triple for the Knights. David Surprenant went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, and two RBI.
Dirk Pistulka was the losing pitcher for Wabasso. Pistulka allowed four runs over 2/3 innings of work.
The Rabbits were led at the plate by Neil Eichten who went 1-for2 with a double and two RBI.
St. Mary’s (5-0, 4-0) travels to play at Comfrey/Cedar Mountain on Thursday, while Wabasso (1-2) plays at Sleepy Eye on Thursday.

HECTOR – New Ulm Cathedral swept Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart in a Tomahawk Conference baseball doubleheader on Tuesday.
Nathan Palmer was the winning pitcher in the first game. Palmer allowed one earned run on four hits, three walks, and five strikeouts.
Russel Hoffman went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI for the Greyhounds in the first game.
Corey Kurth was 3-for-4 with a double to lead the Mustangs.
Collin Helget picked up the win in the second game for Cathedral. Helget gave up five runs in six innings on six hits and seven strikeouts.
Gabe Knowles led the Greyhounds at the plate in the second game going 3-for-3 with a double and three RBI.
Mason Clark went 3-for-4 with two doubles for BLHS in game two.
The Greyhounds (3-0, 2-0) play at Springfield on Thursday, while the Mustangs play at Johnson Park against Minnesota Valley Lutheran on Thursday.

GFW 6, C/CM 1
FAIRFAX – Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop swept Comfrey/Cedar Mountain in Tomahawk Conference baseball Tuesday.
In the first game, Kelten Pingeon earned the win and Andy Berkey took the loss. Pingeon was 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and four RBIs and Cade Leitheiser was 2-for-4.
Andrew Richter led C/CM with a triple and two hits.
In the second game, Ryan Klabunde earned the win. He allowed one run over seven innings.
Jayden Katzenmeyer was 3-for-4 for GFW and Leitheiser added three RBIs.
GFW (2-1) is at Minnesota Valley Lutheran on Friday.
