COMFREY – New Ulm Cathedral took a pair of Tomahawk Conference softball games from Comfrey/Cedar Mountain on Monday.

Cathedral was led offensively by Abby Berg, who had four hits in the first game. Lisa Helget also contributed with a two-run home run as 25 Greyhounds walked in the blowout win. Kristen Mohr got the win from the circle allowing three hits and striking out seven batters in the game.

Abby Hauser won the second game from the circle for the Greyhounds, allowing five hits. Karlee Pfaff recorded three hits including a three-run home run. Other contibutors include Paige Pautzke, who had four hits and Morgan Schabert who went 2-for-3 during the game.

Cathedral (9-0) will play host to conference foe Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s today.
