MANKATO – Patrick Bastian, 75, of Mankato and formerly of New Ulm died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at his home in Mankato.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, NORTH CHAPEL, in New Ulm with Monsignor John A. Richter officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Sleepy Eye.

Patrick is survived by his sisters, Elaine Boynton of Portland, Oregon, Joan (Gene) Fuchs of Morgan, Bernice Bastian, Dorothy Siekmann, and Diane Bastian, all of Columbia Heights; brothers, Stanley (Judy) Bastian of New Ulm, Charles (Donna) Bastian of Plymouth, Donald Bastian of New Ulm, David Bastian of Garrison; and by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Rita Bastian; and a brother, Robert “Bobby” Bastian.

Patrick John Bastian was born August 6, 1937 in New Ulm to William and Bertha (Kokesch) Bastian. He enjoyed drawing cars and trucks and collecting Matchbox Cars and “Hot Wheels”.
