MVL boys and girs finish third at Giant Relays

LE SUEUR – The Minnesota Valley Lutheran/New Ulm Cathedral girls and boys track and field team finished third at the Giant Relays on Friday.

The girls finished with 108 points and the boys finished with 138 points. St. Peter won on the girls side with 198 points and Sibley East won on the boys side with 150 points.

The co-ed sprint medley team took first in 1:45.36 and Talia Otto won the 800-meter run in 2:37.38.

The girls 4×400 meter relay team took third in 4:38.34 and the girls 4×200 relay team was third in 1:57.67. Martha Balge was third in the 300-hurdles in 54.43 and Alexa Dierson was third in the 1,600 in 6:08.92.

On the boy’s side, Adam Schnobrich was first in the 100-meter dash in 11.97 and the 4×800 relay team was first in 8:59.99.

The 4×200 relay team was first in 1:34.89 and the 4×100 relay team was first in 45.75.

The MVL 4×400 relay team finished second (3:46.28) and Brandon Steffl took second in the 800-meter run (2:24.81), ahead of teammate Jacob Grefe (2:28.51).
