Commissioners consider ditch repairs
NEW ULM – Brown County commissioners will consider five drainage ditch repair requests plus county liquor, 3.2 and tobacco licenses at their Tuesday, June 4 meeting.
Drainage ditch repair requests including $1,575 for a final clean out and level spoil bank payment in Judicial Ditch 35 in Sections 2 & 11, North Star Township; $2,829 tile washout in Section 17, Leavenworth Township; $812.50 intake washout, Section 1, Sigel Township; $603 tile washout, Section 26, Cottonwood Township; and $1,169 tile washout, Section 32, North Home Township.
The repairs were normal maintenance, according to the Request for Board Action, (RBA).
County Highway Engineer Wayne Stevens will give project updates on 2013 surface rehabilitation projects, a township bridge replacement project, CSAH 16 (old TH 258), CSAH 7 bridge repair, a CSAH 30 2014 federal project, CSAH 10 stream bank stabilization project, and county ditch repairs.
Maintenance project updates include patching, blading, reclaiming shoulders, crack sealing, seal coat chip and gravel hauling, equipment maintenance and cleanup plus miscellaneous small projects.
Commissioners will consider:
One year county liquor and 3.2 licenses effective July 1, 2013 at Carl’s Corner, Essig and Searles Bar & Grill, $1,300 on/off sale liquor, $200 Sunday liquor; $20 on sale licenses for the Sleepy Eye Golf Club, Stark, Searles, Sigel and Leavenworth Baseball Associations, Church of Japanese Martyrs and Flying Dutchmen Motorcycle Club, Cottonwood Township; plus a $40 3.2 on/off sale license for the Essig Baseball Association.
One year county tobacco licenses effective July 1, 2013 for the Hanska Municipal Liquor Store and Ampride/Farmers Cooperative, Hanska; plus the Ridin’ High Saloon, Cobden; and Ma Ma G’s Bar & Grill, Evan.
The meeting starts at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the courthouse commissioner’s room.
