LAFAYETTE – Elaine Lieder, 79, of Lafayette, died Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Oak Terrace Senior Housing in Gaylord.
Services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in New Ulm with Pastor Kevin Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in the New Ulm City Cemetery.

Elaine is survived by her sister; Marjorie Mickelson of Minnetonka; a sister-in-law, Amy Lieder of Hutchinson; by nieces and nephews; and by best friends, Gordy and Jeanette Dey of New Ulm.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Harlan and Harry Lieder.
Elaine Agnes Lieder was born January 24, 1934 in Courtland Township, Nicollet County, to Albert and Anna (Englebrecht) Lieder. She attended country school in Nicollet County and then New Ulm High School. After high school, Elaine attended beauty school in Mankato. She then worked as a beautician in Sleepy Eye for a period of time. Later she worked at Pamida and 3M in New Ulm before retiring in 1997. Elaine enjoyed knitting and doing crossword puzzles. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in New Ulm.
