Young and old welcome to Quiltistry
NEW ULM – Community members in their teens on up to any age are welcome to take part in free Readers Theater classes and performances of “Quilters: Lives of the PIoneers” among other related events on Saturday, June 22.
Free, one-act play performances at 11 a.m. and noon plus Pieces of the Past Bed Turning classes will be held at the Brown County Museum Annex, 2 North Broadway, New Ulm.
The play is about the trials and tribulations of American pioneer women and children, and how quilting got them through tough times.

Cast members are LaRonda Bourn, Mary Kissner, Opal Dewanz, Doreen Dietrich, and Brenda Nielsen. New Ulm Actors Community Theatre and their Executive Director Paul Warshauer will produce and direct the play.
