LAMBERTON – Christine Ann Wille, 88, of Lamberton, died Friday, June 21, 2013, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 24, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Lamberton. The clergy will be Father Mark Mallak. Interment will be in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Lamberton.

Visitation was held Sunday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Lamberton. Visitation will continue on Monday, June 24 from 9:30 to10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Lamberton.

Christine Ann Wille was born on Oct. 8, 1924 in Stately Township, the daughter of William and Minnie (Matzke) Vogel. She was united in marriage to Alvin C. Wille on Oct. 10, 1945 at the St. Joseph Rectory in Lamberton. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lamberton. Christine enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, embroidering, dancing, fishing and especially playing cards. As a farm wife, for many years before retirement, she worked beside her husband on the farm.

Christine “Girle” Wille died Friday, June 21, 2013 at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield at the age of 88.

She is survived by her husband, Alvin of Lamberton; children, Audrey (Ken) Schons of Sleepy Eye, David (Barb) Wille of Lamberton, Ronald (Ginny) Wille of Murdock, Gordon (Katy) Wille of Lamberton, Greg (Sandy) Wille of Lamberton, Wendy (Jason) West of Republic, Mo.; 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; a sister Eleanor Teicher; brothers, Sylvester (Arlene) Vogel, Tony Vogel, Ernest (Nancy) Vogel; a brother-in-law, Elmer Meine; sisters-in-law, Erna Weiss and Eileen Vogel; many nieces and nephews. Christine was preceded in death by her parents, William and Minnie Vogel; brother, Bill Vogel; and sisters, Rose Meine and Swede Halvorson.
