Thordson leads National All Stars
NEW ULM – Micade Thordson of Hanska went 2-for-2 and drove in two runs to lead the National Division to a 5-3 win over the American Division Wednesday night in the Tomahawk East League All-Star game played at Johnson Park.
Thordson was name the Most Valuable Player of the game.
Adam Sellner got the win for the National Division while Dave Krause took the loss for the American Division.
Cory Ranweiler earned the save for the National Division.
Craig Fischer led the National Division with three hits.
Zach Fischer had two hits for the American Division.
Cody Nachreiner, Anthony Stordalen and Shane Schoborg each drove in a run for the American Division.
Landon Rewitzer had a double for the National Division.
The National Division took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first on Thordson’s two-run single.
The American Division took a 3-2 lead in the top of the fourth on a Cody Nachreiner single, a walk to Stordalen and a Krause infield single.
An outfield error allowed the Nationals to score two runs in the bottom of the inning before Rewitzer doubled in the seventh and scored on a Brady Ranweiler base hit for an insurance run.
The National Division outhit the American Division 11-5.
