Lloyd “Steve” Knisley
NEW ULM – Lloyd “Steve” Knisley, 61, of Bloomington, formerly of New Ulm, died of natural causes on July 1, 2013 at his home in Bloomington.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 11 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Father Matthew Wiering celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery Columbarium.

Steve is survived by his mother, Evelyn Knisley of New Ulm; son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Jami Knisley of Annandale; granddaughters, Saydee and Sicily; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Rodney Lunz of Shakopee, Norma and Pat Sagerhorn of Fergus Falls; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Patti Knisley of New Ulm; and by many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his father.
Lloyd Steven Knisley was born June 19, 1952 in Redwood Falls to Lloyd and Evelyn (Mude) Knisley. He graduated from Cathedral High School in New Ulm in 1970 and then from Southwest State University in Marshall with a degree in education. Steve enjoyed sports and flowers. He was a very giving person and always put others before himself. Above all else, he loved his family. He frequently came back to New Ulm to visit his mother and he thought the world of his son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughters. He will be greatly missed.
