Research to be conducted on bridge over Little Cottonwood River; traffic delays start Thursday, July 18
NEW ULM Motorists are advised to expect up to 10 minute delays on Highway 15 south of New Ulm on Thursday, July 18 as University of Minnesota researchers conduct tests on the bridge over the Little Cottonwood River.
Traffic will be stopped for 10 minutes four times each hour from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 18 to load test the bridge.
The bridge over the Little Cottonwood River is located four miles south of New Ulm or one mile north of Searles.
The Little Cottonwood River Bridge was selected for testing because of its age, common design and fairly low traffic volumes.
