Festival blasts off today

NEW ULM – Bavarian Blast kicked off its 2013 festival Thursday evening at the Brown County Fairgrounds with a performance by the Johnny Cash tribute band “Church of Cash.” The Minneapolis-based country band “Chris Brooks & the Silver City Boys” performed later in the night.

Activities start today at 11 a.m. and continue Saturday and Sunday.
