CVB looking for footprint lore
NEW ULM – A giant footprint, reported to be that of Hermann the German, has been attached to wall of the New Ulm Chamber of Commerce, and the Chamber is looking for explanations of how it might have been created.
The slab of concrete, about 425 pounds, was reportedly found in the basement of the Chamber of Commerce, according to CVB?Manager Terry Sveine. Along with the print was a hand-written note, explaining that anyone who touches the print will “have more for a day.”
People are encouraged to submit their ideas on the origins of the footprint to the Chambers Facebook page through Sept. 6. The winner, based on creativity, will win a New Ulm Prize Package. The Facebook site is www.facebook.com/pages/New-Ulm-Minnesota-Having-fun-since-1854/57121489002.
