Johnson Collection autograph copies on display at Library

NEW ULM – The New Ulm Art & Collections Advisory Board is displaying copies from the Fred Johnson Collection at the New Ulm Library for the months of August, September, and October.

“Presidents, Vice-Presidents, and Sons of Presidents” will be shown in the New Ulm Public Library display class during August with autographs from nine presidents, four vice-presidents, and two sons of presidents represented.

These include pictures and signatures from Grover Cleveland, Calvin Coolidge, Dwight Eisenhower, Frederick Grant, Warren Harding, Herbert Hoover, Thomas Marshall, Levi Parsons Morton, James S. Sherman, and Adlai Stevenson, plus Eleanor Roosevelt. Pictures and letters are on display from William McKinley, Theodore Roosevelt, William Taft and Woodrow Wilson. Finally, there are two letters from Robert Lincoln.

In September, the advisory board will present copies from the Fred Johnson Collection representing famous authors.

The New Ulm Public Library is open Monday-Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
