Kenneth John Lamecker, age 64, of Darwin, died, Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield.
A funeral service will be held on Friday at 3:30 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel with Fr. Brian Mandel officiating.
The interment will be held at New Ulm Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm at 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
There will be a visitation on Friday afternoon from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel. A rosary will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Kenneth John Lamecker, age 64, of Darwin, the son of Leo and Delores (Hindermann) Lamecker, was born on August 10, 1948, in New Ulm, Minnesota. He grew up in the New Ulm area and graduated from the Hutchinson High School. Kenneth was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith.
He was employed by Dura Supreme in Howard Lake where he has worked for the past 23 years as a carpenter.
He enjoyed a good conversation and spending time with his family and friends. He loved mowing lawn, working on his cars and tractors. He especially enjoyed talking on the CB radio as “KW”. He loved his dog “Ginger”, who was always by his side.
He is survived by his siblings, David Lamecker of Silver Lake, Dianne (Don) Lattimer of Willmar, Linda (Howard) Nordberg of Dassel, Ruth (Steve) Brecht of Darwin, Gary Lamecker of Ramsey, and Nancy (Rich) Reiley of Falcon, Colorado. He is also survived by numerous, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Richard, and an infant sister.
