EDA will consider accepting 2013 Capital grant, 2014 budget
NEW ULM – The New Ulm Economic Development Authority will meet at 7:30 a.m. today in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
The EDA will consider accepting the 2013 Capital Fund Program from HUD. The grant will total $50,556 and be used for installing a security camera system in Broadway Haus and future roof replacements, and for radon mitigation in the EDA family units.
The EDA will also consider adopting its 2014 budget. The EDA’s property tax levy portion is expected to remain at the 2013 levels of $117,000. The total budget revenues for housing administration will increase by $371 to $67,828, and the total budget expenditures will increase an equal amount to also be $67,828.
The budget covers the day-to-day operation costs of the EDA as well as any marketing or development projects.
