Stone Soup opens; offers sandwiches, salads, soups
NEW ULM – A chef-owner with experience in New York City, Key West, Fla., the San Francisco Bay area, Minneapolis, and Indianapolis, opened Stone Soup at 512 First North Street last week.
Stone Soup chef-owner Jeff Dahms said the business features grab-and-go sandwiches, salads and daily soups – most of which are made from scratch – for lunch and home-made, take-home dinners and entree items. Dining is available inside or on sidewalk tables.
Partially-hydrogenated oils are not used at Stone Soup. In-house cooking is done with canola and olive oil. Daily vegetarian options are available.
Menu items will change daily. The list includes soups, hot sandwiches, roast beef and cheddar hoagies, turkey club and ham and Swiss wraps, BLT croissants, chef salad, chicken bacon ranch salad, marinated Portobello mushroom salad and other entrees. Cookies are baked daily.
“We serve simple, home-made food and provide the best customer service experience possible,” Dahms said.
Dahms has relatives in the New Ulm area.
Business hours are 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
