Investigators find Dikken vehicle near Belview
REDWOOD FALLS – Investigators reported locating the vehicle Wednesday that was believed to have been driven by 28-year-old Granite Falls man who is a person of interest in a Monday morning homicide of a 26-year-old Granite Falls woman.
A 1996 GMC Sierra pickup was found in a remote location approximately five miles north of Belview, Minn. off of Redwood County Road 7, according to a Minnesota Department of Public Safety news release.
Investigators continue to search for Andrew J. Dikken, described as five feet, 11 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Law enforcement agencies were using all-terrain vehicles and a helicopter Wednesday, searching Renville County Road 9, Redwood County Road 7 and areas along the Minnesota River.
Authorities are investigating the shooting death of Kara Ann Monson, 26, Granite Falls, and the shooting of a 28-year-old Granite Falls man who is being treated at Hennepin County Medical Center.
Anyone knowing Dikken’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Granite Falls Police Department, the Yellow Medicine Sheriff’s Office, or 911. He should not be approached as he may be armed and dangerous. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting in the investigation.
