NEW ULM – Alice Marstone, 81, of New Ulm died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013 at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Searles with Monsignor John A. Richter celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.

Alice is survived by her daughters, Susan Johnson of Waconia, Sherri Petron of Sartell, Stacy Olson of New Ulm; grandchildren, Tomi Jacobson, Brook Schorman, Kelly (Amber) Petron, Aubri Petron, Melissa (Doug) Cramlet, Nick Olson (Ashley); 13 great grandchildren; and a brother, Alfred Hindermann. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Marstone; son, Steven Marstone; daughter, Sheila Marstone; and sister, Bernice Hartmann.
Alice Marie Hindermann was born April 19, 1932 in New Ulm to Harry and Clara (Hogan) Hindermann. She graduated from New Ulm High School with the class of 1950. On Nov. 26, 1951 Alice was united in marriage to Merle Marstone in New Ulm. After marriage, they farmed in Lake Hanska Township, Brown County. Alice worked as an accountant for Doughboy in Madelia, the Farmers Coop of Hanska, and Heymann Construction. Alice enjoyed playing cards, gardening, watching the kids play sports, and spending time with her friends and family. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Searles.
