Wendy Brandt Eichers

NORTH MANKATO – Wendy Brandt Eichers, 51, of North Mankato died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Oct.1, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm with Father Tony Hesse officiating at the service. Burial will be at a later date in the New?Ulm City Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and will continue on Tuesday from 7:30 to 11 a.m. at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, NORTH CHAPEL, in New Ulm. To sign the guest book or to leave an online condolence for the family go to www.mvfh.org.

Wendy is survived by her parents, Lee and Phyllis Brandt of New Ulm; a son, Nicholas of North Mankato; a brother, Scott Brandt (Randy Haukom) of Minneapolis; step brothers, Allen Hoffman (Cathy) and Randy Hoffman (Sereen), all of New Ulm; step sister, Luann Vanderwerf (Curt) of New Ulm; by special friend, Tom Dearing of North Mankato and by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara and by her grandparents.

Wendy Louise Brandt was born March 15, 1962 in Granite Falls to Lee and Barbara (Wetzbarger ) Brandt. She was a 1980 graduate of New Ulm High School. After high school Wendy attended Mankato State University in Mankato and graduated from the Mankato School of Cosmetology. In February of 1990 she was united in marriage to Greg Eichers. They were later divorced. For many years Wendy was a hair stylist for several different salons in Mankato. Later she worked as an independent salesperson for Partylite Home Parties where she won several honors including a trip to Paris for her sales accomplishments. Wendy was a long-term Crohns Disease sufferer. Wendy, may you rest in peace and know that we all love you.
