She graduated from New Ulm High School with the class of 1981 and then went on to further her education, graduating from the St. Cloud Business College in 1982. She went to work at Elk River High School and Lake Crystal-Welcome Memorial High School. Her greatest pleasure was working with kids at each school where she was employed. Julie also enjoyed golfing, gardening, reading books, dancing and music. She loved her church home at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato and absolutely adored her two children. Her life was living for her kids, being with her family and making the most of her own life by just being happy. Julie was a member of the New Ulm Country Club and Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to Family Wishes.
