Lorraine’s memories of growing up in New Ulm will delight you, make you laugh and bring back memories of the “Good Old Days.” She will share memories of the New Ulm bands and music history. She was a majorette and she was the first Miss New Ulm. She will take you on a nostalgic walk down main street and recount stories about Eibner’s, the Dakota Hotel, and the Time & Hollywood Theaters.
Lorraine remembers many of New Ulm’s historic events: The 100th Anniversary of New Ulm, the Turner Hall fire, the Dakota Hotel and the beautiful Turner Hall Theater where she was on stage as a child.
Lorraine’s husband. Grant Oswald, owned Oswald Studio where Lorraine also worked. They preserved New Ulm’s history in photographs and with their memories.
