WINTHROP – Elaine Stresemann, 81, of Winthrop, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013 at the Oak Terrace Health Care Center in Gaylord.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at First Lutheran Church in Winthrop with Pastor Kimberly Buffie officiating. Burial will follow in the Winthrop Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the First Lutheran Church in Winthrop and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at church on Thursday.
The Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm is handling the arrangements.

Elaine is survived by her daughter, Ann Miller of Winthrop; a son, Lee (Robyn) Stresemann of Crystal; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Hahn of Park Rapids, Donna Stuber of Winthrop, Eunice Boehn of Fairfax, Carrollynn Rathmann of Gibbon, Margaret Lund of New Ulm; brothers, Calvin (Elva) Anderson of Bondurant, Iowa, Bill (Diane) Anderson of Le Sueur; and by a brother-in-law, Michael Korkemeier of Winthrop.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerhard Stresemann; and by her sisters, Marion (Reuben) Neubarth, Marlys (Leon) Rettig, Sandra Korkemier; and by a brother, Earl Anderson as a youth.
Elaine Eloise Anderson was born Nov. 25, 1931 in Winthrop to Alvin and Myrtle (Lickfett) Anderson. She was a graduate of Winthrop High School. Elaine was united in marriage Gerhard Stresemann on April 15, 1953 at the Clear Lake Lutheran Church in Gibbon. She was employed at the Model Caf in Winthrop, Green Giant in Le Sueur, Fingerhut in Gaylord and then Hands Incorporated, Essler’s Bar and the American Legion Club, all in Winthrop. Elaine enjoyed bingo and watching TV. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Winthrop the American Legion Post 314 Auxiliary.
