STEWART – Loren Kirchoff, 80, of Stewart, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at his home.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stewart. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors being conducted by the Stewart American Legion Post 125.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stewart.
Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Kirchoff of Stewart; daughter Cyndi Brede of Hutchinson; sons, Dan Kirchoff of Hutchinson, Mitch Kirchoff of Carver, Jerrod Kirchoff of Hazelton, W.Va.; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Harriet Emans of Hutchinson, Diane Duehn of Brownton; and a brother, Ray Kirchoff of Eagle Lake.
Loren Virgil Kirchoff was born on Aug. 25, 1933 in Round Grove Township, McLeod County to Ewald and Selma (Furst) Kirchoff.
He served in the National Guard, 682nd Combat Engineers and was called to active duty. He also volunteered for overseas duty and was sent to Korea in 1952.
