Kenneth Widener

LAMBERTON – Kenneth Eugene Widener, 90, of Lamberton, died on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Springfield.

Graveside service will be held at the Lamberton Cemetery on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the Sturm Funeral Home, Lamberton Chapel.

He was born on Nov. 22, 1922, in Kennard, Neb., to Wallace and Gladys (Krum) Widener. He entered the Army in January of 1945, serving two years in the South Pacific.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene; brothers, Duane of Sun Lakes, Ariz., and Roger and a sister, Dolly Madsen of Oklahoma; sons, Randall of Cashmere, Wash., Rodney of Golden, Colo., and David of Minneapolis; a daughter, Darla of Couer d’ Alene, Idaho; and three grandchildren.
