MLC men take second at St. John’s
COLLEGEVILLE – The Martin Luther College men’s cross country team took second place at the St. John’s Fall Finale Friday night.
The Knights finished the meet with 67 total points, trailing only St. John’s in the team competition and scoring higher than UMAC-rivals North Central and Minnesota Morris.
Runners from SJU took home the first seven official places, but the Knights had the next two as Noah Willitz and Darian Schnose took eighth and ninth, respectively.
John Wildauer finished 15th, while Ben Birner, Luke Rosenbaum, Kenneth Reschke and Nathaniel Plocher rounded out the MLC line-up.
MLC will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 16, at the DIII Regional event.
Women take third at SJU Fall Finale
COLLEGVILLE – The Martin Luther College women’s cross country team took third at the St. John’s Fall Finale Friday night.
Emilee Koltz took eighth in the official standings, and was the top finisher from anyone outside of St. Benedict or North Dakota with a time of 20:39.
Brooke King also scored highly by taking 11th place, while Julie Kent and Hannah Hackbarth took 22nd and 23rd, respectively. Sarah Hackbarth, Sarah Schulte and Rebecca Rehberger rounded out the MLC line-up.
The Knights finished the meet with 92 total points, trailing only St. Benedict and Gustavus Adolphus in the team standings
MLC will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 16 at the DIII Regional event.
