Evangeline “Vangie” Veit
NEW ULM – Evangeline “Vangie” Veit, 86, of New Ulm died Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at her home.
There will be no public visitation or funeral service.
A private family graveside service will be held in the Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm at a later date.

Evangeline is survived by her husband, Harvey J. Veit, Sr. of New Ulm; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda Braun, Barbara and Kendall Johnson all of New Ulm; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sheri Veit of Phoenix, AZ, Harvey “Tiny” Veit, Jr. of New Ulm, Robert Veit of Rosemount; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Sedonia Schnobrich of New Ulm, sister-in-law, Eleanor Teicher of Springfield; nieces; and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Arlene, Mary, Ann, Viola; and brothers, LeRoy and Steve Teicher.
Evangeline M. Teicher was born on January 15, 1927 in Springfield to Mike and Ann (Frank) Teicher. On August 28, 1947 she was united in marriage to Harvey J. Veit at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Springfield, and they were married for sixty-six years. She was a homemaker and had worked cleaning homes. Evangeline loved old time music, country music, and was a great “Elvis” fan. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm.
