NEW ULM – Betty Grams, 82, of New Ulm died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 at Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Father Jerry Meidl celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday and 7:30-10 a.m. Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Cindy Penkert of Lake Crystal, Jane (Daryl) Nosbush of Fairfax, Terease (Tim) Haen of Jackson, Jodi (Chad) Larson of New Ulm; sons, Douglas (Connie) Grams and David Grams, all of New Ulm; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin Grams on Aug. 18, 2013; grandson, Justin Drexler; sister, Sally Eichinger; and a brother, Stanley Meidl.
Betty Jane Meidl was born Oct. 3, 1931 in New Ulm to Edward P. and Anna (Muehlbauer) Meidl. She attended Holy Trinity Catholic School. Betty was united in marriage to Marvin Grams on Dec. 5, 1949 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. After marriage Betty was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, reading, garage sales, crafting, quilting, knitting, crocheting, sheephead and the 500 Marathon Club. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Ulm.
