Tuned in for the benefit of the food shelf
The Canadian Pacific Railroad Holiday Train rolled into New Ulm Sunday evening with live music to the delight of hundreds of people who gathered just east of German Park. Spectators donated 800 pounds of food and $676 to the New Ulm Area Emergency Food Shelf. The railroad gave a $5,000 check to the food shelf and matched financial donations. The train, which had 14 rail cars and was decked with thousands of holiday lights, stopped in Springfield earlier in the day.
