Girl’s roundup: Eagle girls fall to Glencoe-Silver Lake

Glencoe-Silver Lake 60, New Ulm 48

GLENCOE – Glencoe-Silver Lake’s Steph Klockmann scored 15 points in a win against New Ulm on Friday in a nonconference girl’s basketball matchup.

New Ulm’s Meleah Reinhart led the team with 12 points. Nikki Dittrich and Hunter Ahlness each scored eight points for New Ulm.

New Ulm (0-6, 0-2 South Central) will host St. James on Thursday.

CM/C 61, Springfield 55

MORGAN – Cedar Mountain/Comfrey edged Springfield 61-55 on Friday night in a Tomahawk Conference girl’s basketball game.

Andrea Ochs led the Cougars with 15 points. Courtney Nelson scored 14 points and Karliana Kelly added 10. Paige Richert had 13 rebounds.

Therese Roiger led Springfield with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

CM/C (3-1, 3-1 Tomahawk) will host Redwood Valley on Tuesday night. Springfield (2-2, 2-2) will host New Ulm Cathedral (2-2) on Tuesday night.


Red Rock Central 72, Westbrook-WG 47

WESTBROOK – Red Rock Central defeated Westbrook-Walnut Grove in a conference girl’s basketball game on Thursday night.

Brooke Rasmussen led the Falcons (2-0, 1-0 Red Rock) with 18 points, while Rachel Kedl added 17 and Olivia Bittner added 10. Ramsey Piotter had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Red Rock Central hosts Mountain Lake at 7:30 p.m. next Tuesday.
