Marvin Wesley Prins
SPRINGFIELD – Marvin Wesley Prins, 80, of Springfield, died on Dec. 20, 2013, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Visitation will be on Monday, Dec. 23, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield.
Service will be held at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield on Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at 11 a.m. Interment will be at the Jeffers City Cemetery.
Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield. A complete obituary will follow.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou of Springfield; children Mark of Laurel, Mont., Michelle Gatz of Granite Falls, Murray of Gig Harbor, Wash., Marcia Dolezal of Morgan; eight grandchildren; a step grandchild; four great grandchildren; and siblings, Clyde of Walnut Grove, Robert of Storden, Norman of N. Mankato, Bernice Ryker of Jeffers, Kenneth of Jeffers, Arlene Meyer of Lake Park, Iowa, Janet of Jeffers, and Richard of St. Paul.
He was born on April 26, 1933 in Brown County, to Tebbo and Jeanette (Finger) Prins. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1953, serving at Fort Lewis, Wash.
