Two bodies found at rural home in Springfield
SPRINGFIELD – The Brown County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the deaths of two people whose bodies were discovered Friday afternoon at a rural Springfield home.
Autopsies will be performed on the two, who are not being identified pending the outcome of the preliminary investigation, which could come on Saturday afternoon.
Authorities are not saying what caused the deaths, pending the autopsies, but the Springfield Fire Department was called to the home to ventilate what was believed to be carbon monoxide gas from the residence.
The home was on a farm site owned by Dennis Potter of Springfield.
